Job Details

Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiology/Cardiology specialty
- Prior travel experience: Not required
Certifications Required
- BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program): Current certification by AAP, AHA, or Canadian Paediatric Society
- Other certifications may be required based on clinical track and unit (e.g., Chemotherapy, EFM, NIH Stroke Certification) – verify with clinical leadership
Licensure
- State professional license required (RT license for Radiology Techs)
- NURSYS verification required for applicable licenses
- Must comply with state-specific licensing and verification requirements
Background and Compliance
- Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- Various state-specific background and abuse/neglect searches required (Oregon, Washington)
- Drug screen: 10-panel within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
- Employment application covering last 5 years (7 years for APN/Subcontractors)
- Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment in specialty (6 months for CNAs)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- TDAP (within 10 years or declination)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (annual updates required)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
- COVID vaccine or declination
- Fit mask test required annually for travel candidates (on-site testing available)
- Respiratory safety clearance required annually for travel candidates
Competencies and Training
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Color blindness testing if required by unit
- Specialty-specific competency exams (e.g., EFM training for L&D RNs)
- Annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via WorkRamp LMS platform
- Epic training modules required prior to or shortly after start
Additional Requirements
- Float policy acknowledgment: May be required to float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance
- Passport-style badge photo required
- Various facility-specific and state-specific documentation and attestations may be required
Summary
This is a travel contract opportunity for an MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience in Radiology/Cardiology. The position requires weekend availability occasionally, no on-call or graveyard shifts, and a 1:1 patient ratio. Candidates must have current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications, meet state licensure requirements, and complete all required background checks, immunizations, and training modules. Prior travel experience is not required. The contract length is approximately 13 weeks in a short-term acute care hospital setting using Epic for charting.
