Registered Nurse (RN) - Temp Position
Location: Glens Falls, New York
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required
- Specialty Experience: Strong proficiency and experience working on Cardiac/Telemetry and Med-Tele units required
- Epic Experience: MUST have Epic electronic health record experience
- Cardiac Monitoring: Must be able to interpret, measure, and document cardiac rhythms twice per shift comfortably
- Neuro/Stroke Experience: Highly preferred
- Travel Experience: Previous travel experience highly preferred (not required)
- Vehicle: Candidate must have their own reliable vehicle
- Attendance: Must be reliable with no attendance concerns or call-outs; very patient-oriented unit
- Scheduling: No block scheduling will be considered for this need
- Drug Screen: Must pass a 14-panel drug screen within 24 hours of offer acceptance
- Training: Completion of verbal de-escalation training (Welle or CPI) required for onboarding and clearance
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Current New York RN license required
- ACLS (AHA) certification required
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- Profile Documentation:
- Work history
- Skills checklist current within 1 year
- One supervisory signed reference from within the past 2 years
- Permanent address matching driver license/state ID (address will be validated)
- Compliance: Must meet all medical and vaccination requirements before submission
- Restrictions: Candidates with permanent addresses in the following New York counties are NOT eligible: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, Washington
Unit Details
- Unit primarily cares for Telemetry/Cardiac patients
- 16 beds in the unit
- RN to patient ratio: 4:1
- Patient population: Adult to Geriatric
- Dress code: Personal scrubs of any color (no designs, cartoons, or hoodies)
- Remote Telemetry Unit
Orientation & Other Information
- Non-billable orientation: 8 hours
- Cancellation policy: Facility can cancel up to 5 shifts during the 13-week contract with 2 hours’ notice
- COVID vaccinations encouraged but not required
This position is ideal for experienced RNs comfortable with telemetry/cardiac care, Epic systems, and who meet New York state licensing and training requirements.
