Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Cath Lab (Days)

Location: Alpena, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide nursing care before, during, and after angiography and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Care for patients in Structural Heart, Interventional Radiology, Diagnostic/planned intervention Neuro, Vascular, and Electrophysiology (EP) pacemaker/device cases.
• Responsibilities include:

  • Pre-procedure assessment and pre-medication
  • Documentation of procedural process
  • Post-procedure care and patient education
  • Hemodynamic monitoring and calculation of cardiac output
  • Operating lifesaving equipment such as intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), Impella, etc.
  • Assisting Radiologic Technologists and scrubbing cases
  • Stocking supplies and performing basic office procedures

Required Qualifications

• Specialty: Cath Lab nursing experience (Required)
• Preferred Experience:

  • Interventional Radiology
  • Electrophysiology
  • Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation
  • Knowledge and operation of intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
• Licensure: Active Michigan RN license
• Certifications:

  • American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• Documentation:

  • Skills checklist relevant to Cath Lab updated within the last year
  • Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years
• Other Requirements:

  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility (local candidates not considered)

• Work involves supporting both Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology procedures

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Cath Lab nursing (based on required documentation and specialty experience)
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
