Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)

Job Description
Seeking a Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Registered Nurse with strong critical thinking skills and ICU experience. Key responsibilities and desired skills include:
- Immediate post-operative cardiac patient care
- Management of inotropic medications
- Care involving mediastinal chest tubes, central lines, and arterial lines
- Neonatal care and advanced airway management
- Ventilator management
- Family-centered care approach
- Post-cardiac catheterization care
- Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
Required Qualifications
Licensure
- Valid, permanent RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
- Primary source verification required within 30 days of start and updated upon expiration
Certifications
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Experience
- Specialty: Critical Care Pediatric Nursing
- Minimum years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume experienced critical care RN preferred
Health and Immunizations
- COVID-19 vaccine preferred but not required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
- MMR: Positive titers within last 15 years or appropriate booster schedule
- Varicella: Positive titers within last 15 years or appropriate booster schedule
- Hepatitis B: Proof of full series or partial series with signed declination
- Tdap: Vaccination within last 10 years (no declinations accepted)
- Influenza vaccine required during flu season (October-March) or mask and declination forms completed
- Tuberculosis testing: 2-step PPD or IGRA within last 6 months; if positive, clear chest X-ray and current TB questionnaire required
- Fit test for N95 respirators completed within 1 year
Background and Compliance
- Criminal background check within 6 months, including social security trace and national sex offender registry
- Ohio fingerprinting and FBI background checks as applicable
- Employment and education verification through third-party
- Drug screen within 60 days of start (10-panel, lab report required)
- Completion of safety and compliance training modules prior to clearance
- Physical exam within 1 year confirming ability to work without restrictions
Skills and Competency
- Completion of clinical skills checklist within 1 year prior to start
- Competency exam with minimum 80% score within 1 year prior to start
- Core competencies including HIPAA, OSHA, and Joint Commission topics completed within 1 year prior to start
