ICU Nurse Opportunity - Fergus Falls, Minnesota

Position Details

• Patient-to-Nurse Ratio: 2 patients per RN
• Shifts:

  • 8-hour shifts: 07:00-15:30, 15:00-23:30, 23:00-07:30
  • 12-hour shifts: 07:00-19:30, 19:00-07:30
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holidays: 7 major holidays observed (work scheduled accordingly)
• Floating: Med Surg unit
• Orientation: 1-2 shifts floor-specific orientation

Certifications Required

• ACLS (AHA)
• BLS (AHA)
• PALS
• TNCC

Patient Care & Equipment

• Common Diagnoses: Stroke (including TPN), STEMI, non-STEMI
• Drips: Cardizem, Insulin, Propofol, Versed, Vasopressors
• Ventilator: Hamilton C-1
• Tele/Monitor Techs available
• Respiratory Therapist (RT) available 24/7; leaves at 6pm, on-call with 10-minute response
• Pharmacy: In-house until 10pm, remote after 10pm
• Hospitalist in-house (no intensivist)

Additional Information

• No charge nurse assigned
• Nurse aides available as needed
• Scrub colors: Royal Blue for RNs, Steel Gray for CNAs
• Mostly night shifts with some day shifts; every 3rd weekend required
