Position Overview

• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Rotate every other weekend
• Call Requirements: Push back hours depending on census
• Patient Population: Birth to death (all ages)
• Unit Beds: 32
• Patient Ratios: 1:4 to 1:5
• EHR System: Cerner
• Equipment: Critical care equipment

Required Qualifications

• Licensure: Registered Nurse License
• Certifications:

  • ACLS
  • PALS or ENPC
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)
  • BLS
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in Emergency Services specialty (highest required)
• Skills:

  • Good patient experience skills with patients and families
  • Critical care thinking
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in fast-paced ED settings
  • Experience with strokes, STEMIs, and trauma cases
• Personality Fit: Energetic and knowledgeable

Additional Information

• Float Requirements: Assist in other areas where competent
• Dress Code: Scrubs of any color allowed; hoodies and inappropriate t-shirts are not acceptable
• Trauma Level: Not officially designated, but receives all trauma cases
