Travel RN Opportunity - Nashville, Tennessee

Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) with Cardiac experience
• Employment Type: Travel
• Location: Nashville, TN
• Unit: Coronary Care Unit (CCU)
• Unit Size: 32 beds
• Patient Ratios: 2:1
• Scheduling: 4-week schedules with 3-4 weekend shifts required per period
• Floating Policy: Float as needed based on unit census

Required Experience & Certifications

• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Cardiac nursing)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not specified (assumed not required)
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NIH Certification
• Licenses: Registered Nurse License

Skills & Procedures

• Must Have:

  • Cardiac experience
  • Strong critical care experience
• Advanced Skills Preferred:

  • PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring
  • Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
  • Impella device
  • Continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) preferred
• Procedures Performed on Unit:

  • Central line insertion
  • Swan-Ganz catheter insertion
  • Intubations

Work Environment & Equipment

• Equipment: Hill-Rom beds, Phillips telemetry monitors
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Support Staff: Student nurse externs as techs, unit secretary available Monday-Friday 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM
• Dress Code: Scrubs (galaxy blue, red, black); scrub jackets or vests only
