Travel Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Job Summary

Provide high-quality respiratory care for patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics. Support the Cardiopulmonary Department during staffing needs while adhering to organizational standards, policies, and workflows.

Essential Responsibilities

• Deliver respiratory therapy services for diverse patient populations (neonates through geriatrics).
• Stay current with organizational education and training, including updates on new equipment and workflows.
• Collaborate effectively with the care team to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
• Fill gaps in the department schedule as a traveler. Shift sign-ups occur every 8 weeks; travelers select shifts after full-time therapists have chosen theirs.

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Current Maine State Respiratory Care Practitioner License

Qualifications

• Ability to provide respiratory care across all age groups.
• Strong adaptability and willingness to learn new equipment and workflows.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT).

Contract Length

• 13 weeks.
