Diagnostic Imaging - Contract Position

Location: York, Maine
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Full-time, 36 hours per week
• 12-hour shifts on Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday (6:30 am to 7:00 pm)
• Variable shifts may be required based on census
• Holiday coverage by call, may be asked to assist

Job Responsibilities

• Provide care appropriate to patient condition and age groups (geriatric, pediatric, general population)
• Maintain patient safety and confidentiality at all times
• Communicate hospital mission and vision; develop effective working relationships with patients, physicians, and team members
• Perform MRI procedures including protocol use and development
• Screen patients for contraindications and follow safety requirements per ACR and facility protocols
• Interview and educate patients about MRI procedures, addressing concerns with tact and courtesy
• Ensure patient and staff safety by explaining safety protocols and managing hazards related to metal objects near magnets
• Monitor patients visually and verbally throughout procedures
• Operate necessary equipment for daily duties and patient care
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment
• Monitor and report equipment status and assist with inventory management
• Perform other related duties as necessary

Professional Requirements

• Education: Associate Degree or Certificate from a two-year college, university, or certificate-based program
• Certification: ARRT registered
• BCLS certification required within 4 months of hire and must be maintained thereafter
• Influenza vaccination required unless a medical exemption is approved

Additional Notes

• Timecards must be filled out properly to be processed

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Diagnostic Imaging (based on education and certification requirements)
• No explicit prior travel experience required for this position
