Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Labor & Delivery with Mother/Baby Experience)

Job Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse
• Unit: Labor & Delivery with Mother/Baby experience
• Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts (7 PM - 7 AM), weekdays, every other week (EOW)
• Option to flex to a 4th shift if needed/available
• Overtime available after 48 hours
• Patient Ratios: 1:2
• Locals accepted at the same rate
• Prior travel experience preferred (not required)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery nursing

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or equivalent
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or equivalent
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - Advanced NRP through AAP required (Essentials not accepted)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Proof of I9 or Attestation
• Government issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
• Proof of E-Verify or Attestation
• Residency Declaration Form (if working on a compact license)
• Background Check:

  • 7-year criminal check within 1 year of start, updated annually
  • Must include education verification of highest degree/diploma
  • No pending criminal charges allowed
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• Education Verification of highest degree/diploma (official transcript or diploma accepted if third-party verification unavailable)
• NURSYS Verification (required for all RNs)
• Physical Exam within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Drug Testing: 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant acceptable)
• Flu Seasonal Vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Apr 1)
• Proof of 2 clinical references (hospital evaluations accepted)
• Complete employment application/resume
• Skills checklist updated annually for applicable unit

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Measles (Rubeola): Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or declination acceptable
• Mumps: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or declination acceptable
• Rubella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or declination acceptable
• Hepatitis B: Positive titer, 3-series vaccination, or declination acceptable
• Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or declination acceptable

Additional Notes

• Candidates must bring hard copies of all health documents on their first day
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exams required as applicable, with passing scores
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement required
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification preferred for ER staff; may be completed onsite if extending contract
