Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics (Travel/Contract)

Location: Cleveland, Ohio

Position Details

• Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 12 weeks
• Schedule: Weekends as needed; may float to other facilities within the system
• License Required: Ohio RRT license (must have in hand at time of submission)
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Certifications Required:

  • NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care) certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA preferred (RQI acceptable but non-RQI preferred)
• CRT candidates accepted as well

Key Requirements

• Must have Ohio RRT license in hand at time of submission
• Must have 2 years of experience as an RRT (highest experience requirement)
• NBRC and BLS certifications required and must be current
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
• Must include all work history, including any previous positions within the system, in the application profile
• Must communicate all time-off and scheduling requests during submission and interview

Compliance & Documentation

• Valid government-issued photo ID required on assignment
• Criminal background check required prior to start; must be updated if break in service exceeds 2 months
• FBI and BCI fingerprinting required within 12 months of start; must be completed ASAP (results can take up to 30 days)
• Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• Transcript/Diploma required for all candidates
• Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start and updated annually
• HIPAA acknowledgment form required and must be updated annually
• I9/E-Verify attestation required for all candidates
• Two recent satisfactory pre-employment references required
• Employment application must include 3 years prior work history, including at least 2 years clinical practice in an acute care setting similar to the assignment
• Unit-specific skills checklist required and must be updated annually

Health & Safety Requirements

• Pre-employment physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming ability to safely perform job functions
• Fit mask test within 12 months of start; must be updated annually (specific approved mask models required)
• Negative 2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold TB test/T-Spot within 6 months of start; must be renewed annually

  • For past positive TB tests, chest x-ray clearance and annual TB symptom assessment required
• Required immunizations or titers:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or signed declination)
  • Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start; updated annually
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31); no declinations accepted

Orientation & Training

• Completion of online training modules prior to start (approximately 4-5 hours) on a computer using Chrome browser
• Modules include training videos that must be watched before testing; skipping videos will lock candidate out
• Badge pickup required at facility after module completion before starting assignment
• Candidates working with pediatric patients (RRT-NICU) will complete fingerprinting onsite as part of onboarding

• Floating to other facilities within the system may be required

This position is ideal for experienced Respiratory Therapists licensed in Ohio who are comfortable with travel assignments and meeting comprehensive compliance and health requirements.
