Job Opportunity: Therapy/Rehabilitation - Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Job Description

• Approximately 70% outpatient and 30% inpatient caseload.
• Requires a valid New Mexico SLP license.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in the specialty.

Required Experience

• Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation (Speech Language Pathologist)
• Minimum 1 year of experience required.

Licensure & Certifications

• New Mexico SLP license required.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required for all.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) as required.
• Other certifications may be required depending on the unit or patient population.

Background & Compliance Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, updated annually.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM checks required within 30 days of start and updated for every contract renewal.
• HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for every contract renewal.
• Proof of I9 or attestation.
• Government issued photo ID required during hours of service.
• Residency declaration form if working on a compact license.

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Initial physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands; updated annually.
• Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year of start; updated annually.
• TB Questionnaire required annually.
• Proof of immunizations or titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella (Chickenpox)
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination recommended but not required.
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (10/01 - 03/31); mask required if declined.
• COVID-19 booster or declination required; any declination reason accepted.

Drug Testing

• Negative 9 or 10 panel drug screen within 12 months of start.
• Additional drug screen may be conducted upon arrival.

Additional Requirements

• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations.
• Completed employment application/resume.
• Pass/fail testing on EKG/Medication with a minimum passing score of 80% (3 attempts allowed).
• Competency exams as applicable.
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement and other facility-specific documentation.
