Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel/Contract

Location: Wichita Falls, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Employment Type: Travel/Contract
  • Specialty: Registered Nurse (ICU)
  • Will float to PCU as needed
  • Scheduled for 84 hours biweekly with a 72-hour guarantee
  • Start dates available: February 9 or February 23

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in nursing specialty required
  • Prior travel experience preferred (not explicitly required)

Certifications Required

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only (Instructor, Provider, or RQI acceptable)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only (Instructor, Provider, or RQI acceptable)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
  • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Licensure & Compliance

  • State Nursing License verification required within 30 days of start
  • NURSYS Verification required within 30 days of start
  • Background check within 1 year of start (includes SS Trace, County searches, Nationwide, Sex Offender)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start (must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required (exempt if born before 1957)
  • Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination required
  • Varicella: 2 vaccines, positive titer, or history of chickenpox required
  • Flu vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 - May 31) or facility-specific exemption
  • COVID vaccination documentation required
  • Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (instant acceptable)

Additional Requirements

  • 2 professional references within 3 years of start
  • Resume or employment application required
  • Skills checklist updated annually
  • Various facility-specific documents and acknowledgments required prior to start (e.g., orientation, code of conduct, confidentiality agreements)

Notes

  • Candidate must be prepared to comply with all facility and system-specific credentialing and compliance requirements.
  • Floating to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) may be required.
  • Prior travel experience is preferred but not explicitly required.
