Description

Job Opportunity: RN - Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Location: Olympia Fields, Illinois
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Overview

Unit: Family Birth Center
Beds: 19
Staff: 36 (Day and Night shifts all RNs with OB tech/CST support)
Shift: 12-hour nights (7 PM - 7 AM)
Weekends: Every other weekend
Call Requirements: None
Patient Ratios: Acuity based, following IDPH guidelines
EMR System: Epic
Equipment: OBIX Electronic Fetal Monitor (EFM)

Required Qualifications & Skills

Specialty: Labor & Delivery
Minimum Experience: 2 years in Labor & Delivery nursing
Certifications:
- Fetal Monitor Certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification
- CPR/BLS Certification
Must Have:
- Strong labor experience
Preferred:
- Scrub experience

Typical Procedures & Responsibilities

Care for labor and antenatal patients
Fetal monitor interpretation
Vaginal exams
Knowledge of OB medications
C-section experience
Post-recovery and circulating duties
Post-partum care
Outpatient fetal monitor testing
