Location: Allentown, Pennsylvania

Job Requirements

• Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
• Minimum Specialty Experience: 2 years (must have Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department experience)
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required (will accept first-time travelers)
• Certifications Required:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• State License: Pennsylvania license required
• Equipment Experience: Hamilton G5, PB 980, Respironics V60, Optiflow, Lumis tx, Cough Assist, Vest, IPV
• Work Hours: Manager will accept 36 or 48 hours per week
• Schedule: Every Other Week (EOW) and Every Other Weekend (EOH)
• On-Call: None required
• Uniform: Scrub color - Dark Grey

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background checks including SSN trace, criminal searches, education verification, and state-specific searches
• Fingerprinting through Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (required within 90 days of start)
• Education verification for highest level of education related to specialty
• State-specific clearances such as Child Abuse Search, PATCH, Medicheck
• Physical exam within 2 months of start
• Fit test questionnaire and fit mask test (respirator clearance required annually)
• Immunizations and health documents:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray (annual updates not required)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella titers or vaccinations
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or positive antibody titer (declinations not accepted)
  • Drug testing (10 panel or 9 panel without THC within 60 days of start)
  • COVID-19 vaccination or signed declination with facility-specific form
  • Flu vaccination or declination with facility-specific form (seasonal requirement)
• Professional references: Minimum of 2 from employment within last 12 months
• Employment application with 7 years of work history and explanations for gaps over 90 days
• Competency exams including medication/pharmacology, dysrhythmia/EKG, and pass/fail testing as applicable

Additional Notes

• Respiratory safety clearance required annually for respirator use starting 04/07/2025
• Candidate must comply with all facility-specific documents and health requirements prior to start
• No on-call duties required
• Return to office (RTO) requests must be approved by the facility

This position is suitable for respiratory therapists with critical care and emergency department experience looking for a 13-week travel contract in Pennsylvania. First-time travelers are welcome.
