Job Opportunity: Occupational Therapist - Inpatient Rehab
Location: South Bend, Indiana

Job Details
- Shift: 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other Saturday (8 hours) and Sunday (4 hours) with flexible time off scheduled the week before and after weekend work
- On-Call: No on-call required; all shifts are scheduled
- Floating: Yes, floating between inpatient rehab and acute care units
- Holiday: Optional holiday shifts available at time and a half pay
- Charting System: Cerner
- Scrubs: Grey color required
- Locals: Candidates must live at least 50 miles away from the facility
- License: Must have full license in hand by start date; pending license accepted but temporary licensure is not accepted
- First Time Travelers: Accepted if prior hospital experience is present
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience Requirements
- Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty (Occupational Therapy)
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required
Certifications & Licenses
- Must have applicable state license for Occupational Therapy (full license required by start)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA only
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA only (certification requirements may vary by unit)
- Other certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (refer to unit-specific job descriptions)
Background & Health Requirements
- Background check covering last 7 years and all states lived/worked in, required within 90 days of start
- Education verification or copy of diploma/transcripts required
- Physical exam required
- Negative 12-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (includes amphetamines, cannabinoids, MDMA, methamphetamines, buprenorphine, oxycodone, fentanyl, cocaine, methadone, tramadol, benzodiazepines, morphine/opiate panel)
- TB testing: Negative 2-step PPD or Q-gold within 1 year of start (T-spot not accepted); if positive PPD, chest x-ray within past 12 months required
- Immunizations or titers required for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
- Varicella
- Flu vaccine required prior to start or approved medical/religious exemption (documentation required)
Additional Requirements
- COVID-19 vaccine required unless a medical or religious exemption is approved (exemption forms must be completed and signed by healthcare provider)
- Facility-specific modules must be completed prior to start (approximately 8-10 hours of training; paid hours)
- Photo for badge (passport-style with solid background) required
- Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement must be signed prior to start

- Floating between inpatient rehab and acute care units is required
- Weekend and holiday shifts have specific scheduling and optional participation policies
- Candidates with expiring licenses must provide proof of license renewal application
- Prior hospital experience required for first-time travelers
