Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse – PCU Float
Location: Wichita Falls, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Start dates available: February 9 or February 23
- Must be agreeable to floating between Med Surg, PCU, and ER holding units
- ICU experience is a bonus but not required
- Schedule: 84 hours biweekly with a 72-hour guarantee
Required Experience
- Specialty: Registered Nurse

Background & Compliance Requirements
- Background check within 1 year of start, including SS trace and county searches for last 7 years, nationwide sex offender check
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
- Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
- Physical exam within 1 year of start (must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract)
- Immunizations and health screenings (must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract):
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (2-step PPD or equivalent within 1 year)
- Rubeola (Measles): 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
- Mumps: 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
- Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
- Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series of 3, or declination
- Varicella: 2 vaccines, positive titer, or history of chickenpox
- Seasonal Flu vaccine required (with option for medical/religious exemption subject to review)
- COVID vaccination documentation required
Additional Requirements
- Must complete facility-specific documents and acknowledgments prior to start (e.g., parking policy, confidentiality, code of conduct, orientation)
- References: 2 references required within 3 years of start
- Skills checklist: Required and must be updated annually
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable

- Candidate must be flexible to float across multiple units (Med Surg, PCU, ER)
- ICU experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Schedule guarantees 72 hours biweekly with potential for 84 hours
