Job Description

• Position on a busy cardiac/surgical/telemetry floor.
• May require floating to other Medical-Surgical/Telemetry units or low acuity ICU.
• Must have recent Epic experience (within the last 12 months).
• Flu vaccination is mandatory; no declinations accepted.
• Tennessee nursing license or compact license required.
• Certifications required: AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required.
• Prior travel experience preferred but not required.

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA or ARC accepted.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – AHA or ARC only.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) – AHA, Apex, or HealthStream only; must be updated annually.
• Tennessee RN license or compact license.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Recent Epic system experience within the last 12 months is mandatory.
• Prior travel experience preferred but not required.

Health & Safety Requirements

• Flu vaccine required during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31); no exemptions allowed.
• COVID vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year.
• N95 Fit Mask test within 1 year; no PAPR allowed.
• Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start.
• Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet job demands.

Background & Compliance

• Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years.
• Must complete EPIC test-out prior to or shortly after start date (one attempt only).
• Proof of 2 clinical references required.
• Complete employment application/resume required.

Additional Notes

• Candidates may be required to float to other units including low acuity ICU.
• Flu declinations are not accepted under any circumstances.
• Epic experience is critical and must be clearly documented.
• Candidates must adhere to facility appearance standards and complete all required documentation prior to start.
