Job Details

• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 (candidate to specify preference)
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
• Call Requirements: None
• Number of Openings: 1
• Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
• Unit: Acute Rehabilitation
• Number of Beds: 13
• Patient Ratio: 1 RN to 6 patients
• EHR System: Meditech
• Equipment: Lift equipment available

Experience & Certifications

• Required Specialty Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in Acute Care or Inpatient Rehabilitation (must have at least 1 year acute experience)
• Preferred Experience: Travel experience preferred but not required; MedSurg and LTAC experience also accepted
• Required Certifications: BLS
• Licenses: Registered Nurse License (Iowa)
• Prior Travel Experience: Preferred but not required

Job Responsibilities & Skills

• Float to MedSurg as needed
• Care for patients with diagnoses such as neuro, trauma, burns, wound vac, and involved in gait training/strengthening
• Provide individualized care in a team environment

Onboarding & Compliance Requirements

• Must have Iowa SING Background Check cleared (criminal and child abuse portions) – no exceptions
• All background checks (county and state) must be fully cleared prior to start (no instant or statewide searches accepted)
• Mandatory reporter certification required (child and adult)
• Drug test: 10-panel screening including opiates
• Immunization titers within last 12 months (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB)
• Start days allowed: Monday or Tuesday
