Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg (Travel)

Location: Dallas, Texas
Employment Type: Travel

Unit Information

Unit: 630 Telemetry Med Surg
Location: 5 East, Floor 5 East, Building E
Number of Beds: 36
Staff: 10 RNs and 4 PCTs per shift (Day and Night)
Patient Ratios: 1:4 to 1:6
EMR System: Meditech
Equipment: None specified

Required Certifications and Licenses

BLS (Basic Life Support) - Required
Registered Nurse License

Experience Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience in Med Surg specialty (Telemetry, General Med Surg)

Skills and Procedures

Must have: BLS certification
Preferred: Time management skills
Typical procedures:
- General med surg care
- Telemetry monitoring
- Managing non-titratable drips

Work Schedule and Environment

Floating Areas: All acute care areas including med surg, general surgery, renal transplant, telemetry, neuro, ortho
Dress Code: Royal Blue Scrubs
Weekend Shifts: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period
On-call: May be required

Contract Length

13 weeks (approximately 3 months)

Best personality fit: Adaptable to a fast-paced acute care environment with telemetry and med surg patients
