Job Summary

Seeking an experienced ER RN to provide patient care in the Emergency Room setting.

Licensure & Certifications Required

• Active Illinois RN Licensure
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• Either TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) or TNS (Trauma Nurse Specialist)

Schedule

• Mid Shift and Night Shift
• Weekend and holiday rotation

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in patient care
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following nursing techniques, policies, standards of care, and state laws
• Document care according to standards
• Perform patient assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care
• Develop and execute individualized patient care plans as prescribed by physicians or clinic policy, including patient and family education
• Participate in department/unit performance improvement and shared governance activities
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments to support patient care continuity
• Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and experience, escalating issues appropriately
• Engage in professional nursing development, unit practice activities, and peer review processes
