Description

Job Opportunity: RN - ICU (Travel)

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Unit: ICU (24 beds)
Shift: Days (Straight nights or 50/50 scheduling available)
Weekend Requirement: 3 weekend shifts within a 4-week period

Unit Details

Patient Ratios:
- 1:2 typical
- 1:3 for PCU boarders
- 1:1 for sitters or higher acuity patients (IABP, CRRT, open hearts)
Staffing: 46 staff members, 1 CCT/US during day shift if >10 patients
Documentation System: EPIC
Floating Policy: May float to PCU or serve as a sitter anywhere in the hospital inpatient units
Dress Code: Caribbean Blue scrubs

Experience & Requirements

Specialty: ICU
Required Years of ICU Experience: 2 years (1 year strong experience may be considered)
Certifications Required:
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIH Certification
Licenses: Registered Nurse License

Rapid Sequence Intubations
Central line placements
Bronchoscopy
Intubation
Arterial line placement
Chest tube placement
Experience with ventilators, vasopressors, restraint use, arterial lines, and other ICU skills
