Job Details

• Unit: Operating Room
• Facility Size: Licensed for 330 beds
• Number of ORs: 10
• Staffing: Approximately 50 staff members
• Shifts:

  • Day Shift: RNs, STs, UAs
  • Night Shift: Call team
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Equipment: DaVinci Robot, Endovascular Suite, Neurospine microscope, hysteroscopy pump
• EMR System: Altera

Responsibilities & Procedures

• Experience with orthopedics, total joints, general surgery, robotics, basic endovascular skills, urology, and neuro procedures required
• Typical procedures include ortho, robotics, gynecology, urology, vascular, endovascular, and basic crani/neuro
• Assigned stay-late call shifts during the week (end of shift until 7pm or 9pm, averaging about one per week)
• Occasional Friday and Saturday night overnight call (7pm-7am), averaging 1-2 overnights every 6 weeks
• No floating required

Requirements

• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (Operating Room nursing)
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (required)
  • BLS (required)
• Licenses: Registered Nurse License

Work Schedule

• 10-hour day shifts
• On-call shifts as described above
• Holidays as needed (PRN)

• Dress code: OR scrubs provided
• Preferred personality: Work hard, play nice
• No floating to other units

Contract Length

• 13 weeks
