Description

Job Opportunity: Pharmacist - Emergency Department (ED)

Location: Bemidji, Minnesota
Contract Length: 15 weeks

Job Summary

Provide clinical pharmacy support for patients in the Emergency Department. Collaborate with the healthcare team in the ED to participate in patient care, including code response, order verification, and medication reconciliation.

Required Certifications

Pharmacist licensure
BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - AHA

Experience Requirements

Emergency department, critical care, and/or inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
No explicit minimum years of experience stated; however, preference for experienced candidates in relevant pharmacy settings

Schedule

Evening shift, 10 hours per shift
Week on, week off schedule
No on-call required

Work Environment & Equipment

Electronic Health Record system: EPIC
Automated dispensing cabinet: Omnicell
IV pumps: Alaris
ED has 15 rooms within a 118-bed hospital

Orientation & Training

Training with another ED pharmacist to learn workflows
Focus on gaining proficiency with EPIC and Omnicell systems
Goal: Ensure high-quality patient care

Additional Information

No floating to other units or departments
Hospital-provided scrubs required
