Job Opportunity: RN - Radiology (Interventional Radiology)

Location: Denver, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

• Department: Interventional Radiology (IR)
• Setting: Level I Trauma Center with Comprehensive Stroke Center of Excellence designation
• Beds: 5 Interventional Radiology suites
• Staffing:

  • Day Shift: 1 charge RN, 5 RNs, 1 manager, 10 IR techs
  • Night Shift: Call teams
• Patient Ratios: 1 patient : 1 RN : 2 techs
• Equipment: 4 Siemens Bi-plane systems, 1 Siemens Single plane
• EMR Systems: Meditech, GE Centricity PACS

Schedule

• Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• 1 night of call during the week
• 1 weekend call per month

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse License (RN)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience (IR experience required)
• Must be able to take call

Preferred Qualifications

• Neuro-Interventional Radiology experience
• Vascular Interventional (VI) registry

Typical Procedures

• Neuro interventions (stroke, stent/coil, vasospasm)
• Trauma embolization
• Chemo embolization
• SIR Sphere embolizations
