Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg (Evenings)

Job Description

• Position requires working in a medical-surgical unit with evening shifts.
• Must be willing to float to other units as needed.
• No block scheduling or 48-hour guaranteed time available.
• Requested time off (RTO) during the assignment must be submitted and approved upfront; no more than 5 days of RTO allowed.
• Orientation: 8 hours non-billable.
• Holiday and overtime pay multipliers apply.
• Dress code: Personal scrubs of any color.
• Must have own vehicle for assignment.
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered.

Requirements

Licenses & Certifications

• Current Massachusetts RN license (must be uploaded with profile).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (American Heart Association).
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification (American Heart Association).
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification.
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion is strongly required.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of current Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• Telemetry experience required.
• Meditech Expanse experience is highly preferred.

Additional Requirements

• Must provide at least two specific interview dates/times (no "anytime" availability).
• Must include permanent address in profile submission.
• Work history and skills checklist relevant to Medical-Surgical nursing (current within 1 year) required.
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years of employment required.

Notes

• Scheduling accommodations such as block scheduling are not available.
• All scheduling requests and time off must be submitted at the time of profile upload; no changes will be approved after offer.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.

This opportunity is ideal for experienced RNs with strong medical-surgical and telemetry skills, who are flexible and able to commit to a 13-week temporary assignment in Massachusetts.
