Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Olive Branch, Mississippi
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)

Job Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (Cath Lab)
• Shift: 4x10 hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM (shift times may change during interview)
• Start Date: ASAP
• On-Call: Yes
• STEMI Call: 7-12 days per month, including 1 weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Weekend Requirement: As needed
• Block Schedule: Not accommodated
• Locals: Not accepted (50-mile radius rule)
• Pending License: Not accepted; must comply with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines

Experience Requirements

• Years of Experience Required: Minimum 3 years OR
• Travel Experience: Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment
• First-Timers: Not accepted without prior travel experience or 3+ years of experience

Licensure & Certifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be in compliance with NLC guidelines
• Required Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • NIH Stroke Certification (required for all RNs except at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) if applicable
• State License: Must have appropriate state license (MS or multistate as applicable)

Required Documents & Compliance

• Background checks including statewide, county, federal, and education verification (within 60 days)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (updated annually)
• Sex Offender Search
• Physical exam within 1 year, attesting ability to meet job demands
• Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start
• Immunizations and health requirements:

  • TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Proof of vaccinations or titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B
  • Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
• Photo for badge (strict guidelines)
• Two recent professional references required
• Skills checklist and internal evaluations as applicable

Additional Information

• Facility is a Short Term Acute Care, Level I Trauma Center
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs for RNs; no prints or embroidered scrubs allowed
• Must comply with all facility-specific documentation and submission requirements
• Prior travel experience is required or 3+ years of specialty experience for first-time travelers

This position is ideal for experienced Cath Lab RNs with prior travel assignments or those with significant specialty experience seeking a travel contract in Mississippi.
