Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 26 weeks (approximately 6 months)

Job Details

• Position: X-Ray Technologist for Emergency Generals and Surgery area
• Schedule: 5 days a week, Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (mid shift)
• Possible weekend shifts if needed
• Siemens equipment experience preferred

Experience Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience required (use the higher value if discrepancy exists)
• Prior travel experience not explicitly required

Licensure & Certifications

• Ohio Radiology License: Must have in hand or be willing to obtain prior to start
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA certification required and must be current
• ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications required as applicable (check with employer)
• National certification verification required prior to start and upon expiration
• MRI Techs require ARRT (MR) credentials (if applicable)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Criminal background check (FCRA compliant 7-year search including SSN trace, nationwide criminal, sex offender, OFAC, FACIS Level 3) required prior to start and must be updated for breaks in service of 2+ months
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required monthly on the 15th
• Transcript/Diploma verification required
• FBI and BCI fingerprinting required within 12 months of start; must be completed immediately upon signing if not already done
• Facility will conduct additional fingerprinting on the first day
• Unit-specific competency exam required within 12 months of start and updated annually
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required and updated annually
• Photo for badge required (badge picked up on first day for X-Ray Techs)
• Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start (approx. 4-5 hours)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Pre-employment physical exam within 1 year of start, confirming ability to perform essential job functions
• Fit mask test within 12 months of start, updated annually (specific N95 masks required)
• Negative TB test (2-step PPD or Quantiferon Gold/T-Spot) within 6 months of start or chest x-ray if prior positive, plus annual TB symptom assessment
• Annual TB questionnaire if history of positive TB test
• Immunizations or titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or signed declination)
  • Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start, updated annually (dilute results allowed one retest; instant screens not accepted)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (10/31-3/31); declinations not accepted

Employment History & References

• Application must include 3 years prior work history, including at least 2 years of clinical practice in an acute care setting and similar area to assignment
• Two recent satisfactory pre-employment references required
• Unit-specific skills checklist required and must be updated annually

• Facility onboarding includes online training modules that must be completed on a computer using Chrome browser
