Job Details

• Shift: 5x8 hour night shifts
• On-Call: Yes, with 30-minute response required
• Weekends & Holidays: As needed
• Floating: As needed
• Patient Population: May care for COVID patients

Experience & Certifications

• Required Specialty Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Registered Nurse
• Certifications Required:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • EPIC experience required
  • ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIH Stroke Certification, and others may be required depending on unit/job description
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Onboarding & Compliance Requirements

Background Checks & Verifications

• 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
• HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
• PA FBI Fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days or will be removed from assignment
• Education verification of highest degree/diploma/transcripts
• NURSYS verification for RN license
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse Search (Childline) required within 5 years; candidate may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days
• Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search required within 1 year, must be finalized prior to start

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
• Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days; PPD not accepted
• Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required; boosters required if titers negative or equivocal
• Hepatitis B: Positive titer or full vaccine series (3 doses) plus declination form if applicable
• Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required; boosters required if titers negative or equivocal
• Seasonal Flu vaccine required during flu season; medical or religious exemptions accepted with documentation
• COVID-19 vaccine or medical/religious exemption or declination accepted
• Drug testing: Negative 9-panel within 1 year (Aya requirement only, not required by facility)
• Respiratory Safety clearance within 1 year, renewed annually

Documentation & Other Requirements

• Clear, professional passport-style photo for badge
• Completion of facility-specific documents including Medical Statement, Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, Commitment to Health & Wellness, Non-Employee Affidavit, I9 Attestation, and others
• Completion of Learning Management System (LMS) modules prior to start (PC/Laptop only)
• New Hire Orientation required by end of first day
• Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing required for all RNs except OR and Home Health
• Medication, Competency, and Dysrhythmia/EKG exams as applicable
• Two professional references within 3 years
• Most recent resume/application required
• Annual skills checklist

Additional Notes

• Maximum Return to Office (RTO) time: 7 days
• Manager interview required after clinical screening
• Candidate must notify if unable to comply with tobacco/fragrance-free policy
• Facility may require additional certifications or competencies based on unit assignment

This position is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses comfortable with night shifts, on-call responsibilities, and working in a hospital environment that may include COVID patient care. Compliance with extensive background checks, health screenings, and facility-specific onboarding is mandatory.
