Job Opportunity: RN - Bone Marrow (Travel)

Location: Denver, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Unit Information

  • Adult Outpatient Infusion Center - Bone Marrow Oncology
  • 5 beds, 17 chairs
  • 8 core staff members
  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (4 days per week)
  • Shift Options: 4 days/week, 10-hour shifts or 3 days/week, 12-hour shifts
  • Weekends/Holidays: May be required based on staffing needs
  • Patient Ratios: Variable depending on acuity and volume
  • Equipment: Baxter infusion pumps
  • EMR Systems: Meditech and OncoEMR

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Oncology, Hematology, and/or Transplant Cellular Therapy
  • Competent in IV placement
  • Experience administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and cellular therapy
  • Experience with blood products, antibiotics, IVIG, and IV fluids administration
  • Experience caring for immunocompromised patients
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Provider Certification
  • Must be a good team player, compassionate, proactive, and able to handle high patient volumes and acuities

Typical Procedures

  • Infusions of IVIG, blood products, Albumin/Lasix, electrolyte replacements, antibiotics, IV hydration
  • Administration of chemotherapy (including lymphodepleting chemotherapy), immunotherapy, and cellular therapy
  • Granix and Mozobil injections for transplant/cellular therapy collections
  • Oversight of cellular procedures after required training
