• Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Shift: PM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: 72 hours over 6 weeks
• Call Requirements: None
• Number of Openings: 2
• Unit: 5th Floor, Neuro Progressive Post Surgical Unit
• Number of Beds: 20
• Patient Ratios: 5:1
• Patient Population: Adult / Geriatrics
• Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Altered Mental Status (AMS), Brain Cancer, Spine and Neck Surgery, Craniotomy
• Equipment Used: Masimo vital sign monitors, Zoll devices
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Cerner

Requirements

• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in Neuro specialty
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
• Licenses: Registered Nurse License
• Skills:

  • Must have teamwork skills
  • Neuro experience required
  • NIHSS certification required
• Preferred Skills: Leadership experience
• Float Requirements: As needed
