Job Description

• Work shifts: 07:30 to 16:00 or late shift 08:30 to 17:00 to complete cases
• Potential floating to another nearby facility
• Weekend requirement: Cover call vacancy if needed
• Primary responsibilities include EP diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in 2 EP labs
• Tasks: Primary EP scrub, implants, and ablations
• Required skills: Hemodynamic monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and laser-assisted procedures
• Charting system used: Epic
• Scrubs provided

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty (Radiology / Cardiology, Electrophysiology Tech)
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• CCI RCIS (Cardiovascular Credentialing International - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Comprehensive background checks covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years, including SSN trace, criminal searches, sex offender search, DMV (if applicable), and education verification
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required upon hire
• Pennsylvania Department of Human Services fingerprinting results required within 90 days of start (full results, all pages)
• Pennsylvania child abuse clearance required within 90 days of start
• Pennsylvania PATCH and Medicheck search results required within 30-90 days of start
• Education verification for highest level of education relative to specialty
• Employment application with 7 years of complete work history and explanations for gaps over 90 days
• Minimum of 2 professional references from employment within 12 months of start

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 2 months of start
• Fit test questionnaire and fit mask test (respirator clearance) required
• Immunizations/vaccinations required:

  • TDAP (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (annual updates not required)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: positive titer or vaccination series
  • Hepatitis B: positive antibody titer or completed vaccine series (declinations not accepted)
  • Varicella: positive titer or vaccination series
  • Flu seasonal vaccination/documentation required for new candidates starting October through May (declination allowed only under specific conditions)
  • COVID-19 vaccination or signed declination with facility-specific form
• Drug testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start (9-panel without THC also acceptable)
• Respiratory safety clearance required annually for respirator use

Competency and Testing Requirements

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (passing score 80%)
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (passing score 88%) required within 12 months of start and annually thereafter
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) required for RNs & LVNs (not applicable to this role but noted for reference)

Additional Notes

• Candidate must be prepared for potential floating to other locations
• Weekend call coverage may be required
• Scrubs are provided for the assignment

This position is ideal for an experienced Electrophysiology Tech with at least 2 years of specialty experience, current certifications, and the ability to meet comprehensive background, health, and competency requirements.
