Job Opportunity: RN - Labor & Delivery (Travel)

Location: Lufkin, Texas
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Description

Provide nursing care during antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of Obstetrical care to Labor and Delivery patients.
Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe delivery of care.
Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
Minimum 2+ years of experience in the specialty.
Experience with EMR systems: Medhost and GE Centricity.
Able to work night shifts (7 PM - 7 AM).
No floating or call required.
Must live more than 50 miles from the facility.
Patient ratio: 1:1 or 1:2 depending on acuity.
Facility size: 9 beds.
Scrub color: Purple.

Additional Notes

Block scheduling requests can be accommodated.
No 48-hour guarantee on shifts.
Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
