Job Opportunity: RRT - Respiratory Therapy (Travel)

Location: Statesboro, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, Every Other Weekend (EOW)

Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Years of Experience: Minimum 2+ years in respiratory therapy
• Prior Travel Experience: At least 2 previous successful completed travel assignments required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP required
• Preferred Experience:

  • iStat and Draeger ventilator experience
  • Cerner EMR experience

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist provides cardiopulmonary services following approved protocols and department policies. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures
• Delivery of medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas
• Maintaining airways and ventilator management
• Insertion of arterial lines and intubations
• Performing pulmonary function studies, cardiac and pulmonary stress tests, and blood gases

Work Environment & Additional Info

• Scope of role includes Critical Care, Level 2 nursery, and Emergency Department
• Must be comfortable and able to work independently in ICU/CCU and nursery settings
• EMR system used: Cerner
• Scrub color: Caribbean Blue
• 48-hour weekly guarantees are not available
• Blocked scheduling may be requested as long as weekend requirements are met

This position requires a highly skilled respiratory therapist with solid travel experience and the ability to work independently in critical care environments during night shifts.
