Job Opportunity: Radiation Therapist

Location: Charlottesville, Virginia

Job Description

• Work in an ambulatory clinic near the main hospital, with possible shifts at a secondary location about two miles away.
• Typical hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM, varying with patient load. No weekend shifts.
• Every other holiday off.
• Up to 40 hours of RTO (Recovery Time Off) can be approved.
• Must have a Virginia license or be eligible for temporary licensure with an out-of-state license.
• ARRT certification required for therapy.
• Experience with ARIA charting system required.
• Preference for candidates with inpatient hospital experience; outpatient experience in a radiation oncology center using Truebeam and ARIA is also acceptable.

• Compliance with professional appearance guidelines and facility-specific policies.

• Radiation badges for new candidates are no longer provided by the agency; new hires must obtain badges through the facility.
• Some units may require additional background checks or fingerprinting (e.g., behavioral health units).
• Candidates must carry government-issued photo ID during hours of service.
