Job Opportunity: CVOR Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Mountain Home, Arkansas
Specialty: Registered Nurse (Surgical Nursing focus)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Start date preferred within 3-5 weeks
• On-call required
• Schedule includes weekday nights (2+ days depending on staffing) and every third weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
• Work in a high-volume OR/CVOR with 13 operating rooms averaging 650 cases per month
• Surgical cases include General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurological, Cardiovascular, Plastics, ENT, Urology, and Gynecological procedures
• Utilize advanced technology such as DaVinci Surgical Robot, Navigational Spinal and ENT surgery, and Hybrid OR for vascular procedures
• Collaborate in an interdisciplinary team environment focused on patient advocacy and evidence-based care

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and leadership within the nursing team
• Use the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Promote a healing culture and collaborate with healthcare team members

Requirements

Education & Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN required, BSN preferred)
• Current Arkansas or Compact State RN license in good standing

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience preferred (higher years of experience not specified)

Certifications

• BLS required
• ACLS and PALS encouraged but not required

Skills

• Effective communication skills (reading, writing, verbal)
• Basic computer knowledge

Work Environment & Technology

• Exposure to advanced surgical technology and hybrid operating rooms
• Fast-paced surgical environment with diverse case types

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background checks including 7-year history and annual updates as applicable
• Verification of education and licensure within 30 days of start
• Various certifications and competencies as applicable (e.g., ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, Chemotherapy, etc.)
• Health documents including physical exam, immunizations (TDAP, Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella), TB testing, drug screening, and flu vaccination or declination
• Facility-specific documents such as dress code, pre-screening compliance, and orientation acknowledgments
• References: 2 required within 2-3 years of start
• Work history verification for the past 2 years

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and be on-call
• Emphasis on patient advocacy and teamwork in a surgical setting
