Location: Havre, Montana

Job Description

• Provide care and ensure patient safety during surgical procedures under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist technically in the Operating Room (OR) and Endoscopic Lab.
• Prepare the surgical room in coordination with nursing staff in a timely and organized manner.
• Practice aseptic techniques correctly; clean, disinfect, and sterilize all OR and Endoscopic Lab equipment.
• Coordinate patient care with the RN Circulator.
• Stock and replace Central Supply (CS) items and maintain inventory sheets.
• Maintain a sterile field during surgeries and assist physicians with instrumentation.
• Follow verbal physician orders in the operating suite.
• Handle surgical specimens appropriately.
• Document unusual occurrences and complete required departmental forms.
• Perform CPR as needed.
• Use all applicable instruments and equipment proficiently.
• Clean, wrap, and prepare instruments for sterilization.
• Transport patients to and from the OR.
• Monitor surgical equipment, including maintenance and repairs.
• Serve as technical scrub in the OR and prepare rooms and equipment for Endoscopy procedures.
• Maintain a cooperative disposition within the OR environment.
