Job Opportunity: Rad Tech - Radiology
Location: Carmel, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel
Position Details
- Specialty: Radiology Technician (RT)
- Focus Areas: Surgery and Arthrograms, Diagnostic X-Ray
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
- Call Requirements:
- Weekend rotation and weeknights
- Minimum 1 day per week and 1 weekend per month on call
- Call hours: Weekdays 5:30 PM - 6:00 AM; Weekends 5:30 PM Friday - 6:00 AM Monday
- Call volume is low, mainly portable exams for inpatients with status changes
Experience & Certifications
- Required Years of Experience: 2 years in Radiology specialty
- Certifications Required:
- ISDH (Indiana State Department of Health)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Skills & Experience:
- O-arm and C-arm experience required
- Strong background in surgery, especially orthopedic and neurological cases
- Experience with Arthrogram procedures and general X-Ray
- Preferred: Experience with surgery and arthrograms
Unit & Work Environment
- Unit Type: Short stay hospital unit
- Number of Beds: Recovery beds associated with 5 OR suites (3 currently in use)
- Equipment Used: OEC, GE, Siemens, AIRO CT (Stryker)
- EMR System: EPIC
- Personality Fit: Flexible, self-sufficient, compassionate
- Dress Code: OR scrubs
Additional Information
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Float Requirements: Potentially required
- Orientation & Training:
- Virtual hospital orientation
- Onsite learning modules on 2nd day
- EPIC training on 3rd or 4th day at Indianapolis campus
