Job Description

• Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses (Med Surg / Stepdown).
• EMR system used: EPIC.
• Orientation schedule available with multiple start dates throughout the year.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks (interpreted from contract_length value).

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required.
• First-time travelers are accepted (no prior travel experience required).

Licensure & Certifications

• Must have a valid Illinois nursing license prior to start.
• Must also have an Iowa nursing license prior to start.
• Required certifications:

  • ACLS (AHA)
  • BLS (AHA)

Additional Requirements

• Must have a driver’s license.
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission date.
• License verification and copy of required certifications.
• One supervisory reference required at time of submission.
• Must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility.

Work Conditions & Benefits

• OT/Holiday pay multiplier: 1.15x
• Call back pay multiplier: 1.5x with 2-hour minimum
• On-call pay: $9/hr
• Charge/Precept pay: $6/hr
• Billable overtime: OT billable after 40 hours/week (36-40 hours regular OT, 48 hours max before OT billable)

Summary

This is a temporary RN position in Med Surg/Telemetry requiring at least 1 year of experience, Illinois and Iowa licenses, and standard ACLS/BLS certifications. The role involves floating within the discipline and working with EPIC EMR. Prior travel experience is not required.
