Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) (Days)

Unit & Patient Information

• Unit Type: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
• Beds: 42
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:2 or 1:3
• Patient Types: Premature infants, respiratory distress/failure, hypoglycemia, etc.
• Clinical Skills: Administration of vasopressors, sedation, and glucose on unit
• May float to general pediatrics and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Work Schedule & Overtime

• 36-40 hours per week standard
• Overtime billable after 40 hours
• Holiday and call back pay multipliers apply

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 24 months of NICU / Neonatal Intensive Care experience (highest specialty experience requirement)
• Minimum 24 months of PICU / Pediatric Intensive Care experience (work history must reflect this)
• Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license at time of submission
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA or ARC
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Experience and comfort with vasopressors, sedation, and glucose administration
• Must have completed at least one prior travel contract within the past 18 months (No first-time travelers)
• Skills checklist specific to PICU / Pediatric Intensive Care discipline required
• Professional references within the last 24 months preferred
• Valid driver’s license required
