Description

Job Opportunity: Pharmacist (Travel)

Location: Tucson, Arizona
Facility Type: Inpatient Acute Hospital (44 Beds + Emergency Department)
Employment Type: Travel

Job Description

Responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient distribution of pharmaceutical agents to patients of all ages and hospital areas.
Practice in compliance with state/federal laws, DEA regulations, TJC standards, and hospital policies.
Collaborate with physicians on drug selection and dosing.
Educate nursing staff, patients, and physicians regarding medications.
Participate in medication safety initiatives.
Manage patient profiles and report adverse drug reactions.
Prepare IV admixtures and nutritional supplements.
Maintain narcotic accountability.

Requirements

License: Arizona Pharmacist License required.
Certifications: ACLS and BLS required.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Pharmacist in an inpatient acute hospital setting.
- Board certification and/or accredited pharmacy residency preferred but not required.
Schedule: 7 nights on / 7 nights off, 8:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
No on-call duties.
EMR system used: Cerner.

Contract Length

13 weeks.

Additional Information

Holidays: Pharmacy remains open on recognized holidays.
No prior travel experience explicitly required.
