Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg

Location: Richmond, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit: 2F Med Surg (General medical surgical floor, also stroke and neuro designated unit)
Number of Beds: 34 (max capacity 43 patients)
Patient Ratios: 5:1
Shifts:
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs, 3 techs, 1 unit secretary (if at max capacity)
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs, 1 tech, 1 unit secretary (if at max capacity)
Equipment: Remote tele
EMR System: Meditech

Requirements

Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty
Certifications:
- BLS (required)
- ACLS (preferred)
- NIH Stroke Certification (preferred)
Licenses: Registered Nurse License

Typical Procedures

General medical surgical care
Stroke and neurological patient care

Ideal Candidate Profile

Dress Code: Navy scrubs
