Job Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Unit: 24-bed MedSurg with Telemetry capability on all beds (heavy on Telemetry)
• Patient Population: Adults only (Pediatrics assigned to permanent staff)
• Shift: 12-hour shifts
• Nurse to Patient Ratios:

  • Day: 1:5
  • Night: 1:6
• Float: Required to all MedSurg units and ICU (taking MedSurg overflow patients)
• EMR System: Sunrise Allscripts
• Support Staff: Tele techs, charge nurse, HUCs, PCTs
• Additional Onsite Support:

  • Hospitalist 24/7
  • Respiratory Therapist 24/7
  • Pharmacy 24/7
• IV Team: None
• Scrub Color: Any color except all black (scrubs not provided for 12-hour night shifts)

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years in Med Surg/Telemetry nursing
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (AHA) - Required
  • BLS (AHA) - Required
  • NIHSS - Required
  • PALS - Preferred
• Skills: Strong neuro and cardiac skills required

Additional Information

• 36-hour guarantee with up to 3 cancellations allowed
• Nurse managers do not provide direct patient care but perform rounds
