Job Opportunity: Temp Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery (L&D) (Nights)

Location: Sioux City, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide professional and clinical care as part of an interdisciplinary team in Labor & Delivery.
• Must be comfortable floating within the same discipline across local campuses, including floating to Post-Partum 1-2 shifts per week.
• Local candidates are not eligible; candidates must have a taxable address more than 50 miles from the facility.
• Work schedule includes 36-40 hours/week with overtime after 40 hours.

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery (L&D) experience.
• Circulating experience is required.
• High Risk and high acuity experience required.
• Experience within the previous year at larger, high-volume delivery centers (200-300 deliveries/month) required.
• Must have completed at least 24 months of current Labor and Delivery experience as documented in work history/resume.
• Must be comfortable floating to Post-Partum 1-2 shifts per week.

Preferred Experience

• Scrub experience.
• Multiple travel contracts completed.
• EPIC STORK experience.

Certifications & Licenses Required

• Active Iowa RN license at time of submission.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA or ARC.
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification from AHA or ARC.
• Certification in fetal monitoring from the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN).
• Certification from the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
• Valid Driver’s License.

Additional Requirements

• Skills checklist specific to Labor and Delivery discipline.
• Professional references or performance evaluations within the last 24 months preferred.

Orientation Schedule

Orientation sessions are offered regularly, approximately twice per month.

Prior Travel Experience

• Preferred but not explicitly required.

This position is ideal for experienced Labor & Delivery nurses comfortable with high acuity, high volume settings, and flexible floating within the discipline.
