Job Opportunity: Rad Tech - Diagnostic Radiology

Job Description & Requirements

• Must have experience in a busy, preferably Level 1 trauma center.
• OR (Operating Room) experience required; must be able to work independently.
• Preferred experience with Epic, OEC, and Carestream systems.
• Must be self-motivated, quick on feet, and flexible.
• No new graduates accepted.

Certifications & Licenses

• ARRT certification required (MR) or NMTCB (Nuclear Med Tech Cert Board).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required (AHA).
• Active Illinois license or confirmation that application process has been initiated.

Work Environment & Duties

• Level 1 trauma center with inpatient, outpatient, and ER patients; lots of surgery.
• Imaging/studies performed include those typical for trauma and surgical cases.
• Department uses EPIC EMR and PACS systems.
• Equipment includes OEC and Carestream imaging devices.

Scheduling & Shifts

• Typically 8-hour shifts; occasional 12-hour shifts with advance notice.
• Weekend requirement: every third weekend (may vary for travelers).
• No call, standby, or holiday call requirements.
• Orientation period: 10 days.

Additional Notes

• Local placements accepted within a 50-mile radius.
• Drug-free campus; negative drug screen required for all panels.
• Scrubs provided only when assigned in the OR; no specific scrub color required.
• OSF Call Off Policy: Equivalent of 12 hours off every 13 weeks with no penalty.
• Non-billable orientation hours: 12 hours.

Experience Requirements
