Job Details

• Position: Telemetry Registered Nurse (Tele RN)
• Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, Nights (7 PM - 7 AM)
• 100-mile radius rule applies (no local hires)
• Arkansas State or Compact RN license required
• Return Staff Policy: Must be off assignment for 1 year or more before returning
• RNs must pass a basic dysrhythmia test

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience not required)

Certifications & Competencies Required

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA only, required for all clinical candidates
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA only, required for applicable units (e.g., Labor & Delivery)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - AHA only, required for specific units (e.g., Pediatrics, Emergency Department)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - as required
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) - as required
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam - required for Telemetry unit
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam - required as applicable
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) - candidates expected to pass a dysrhythmia test

Health & Background Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Employment and sanction screenings (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG) required within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• Education verification required for all candidates
• Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands, updated annually
• Immunizations and health screenings required:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella - titer or vaccination series with boosters if needed
  • Hepatitis B - titer, vaccine series, or declination
  • Varicella - titer or vaccination series with boosters if needed
  • Seasonal Flu Vaccination (current season) required; religious and medical exemptions accepted
  • COVID vaccination or declination accepted
• Drug screening: 9 or 10 panel drug screen within 90 days of start (instant acceptable)

Additional Requirements

• Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
• Completion of skills checklist annually (for applicable units)
• Various facility-specific forms and acknowledgments (e.g., TB Screening Form, Disclosure Agreement, Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement)

Summary

This is a 12-week travel contract for a Telemetry Registered Nurse working night shifts in Conway, Arkansas. Candidates should have at least 2 years of RN experience, hold an Arkansas or Compact RN license, and be able to pass a dysrhythmia test. First-time travelers are welcome. Required certifications include BLS and ACLS, with additional certifications as applicable. Comprehensive health screenings, background checks, and competency exams are mandatory.
