Job Opportunity: RN - Rehab (Travel)

Location: Chesterfield, Missouri
Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Rehabilitation (Med/Surg)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Float Requirements: Must float within 5 hospital units: Stroke, Comprehensive, Medically Complex, Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury
Patient Population: Adults (18+ years)
Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:6-7 during the day, 1:8 at night; each nurse has a dedicated tech
Number of Beds: 81 private rooms
Electronic Health Record (EHR): Epic

Required Qualifications

• RN license in the state of Missouri
• BLS (CPR) Certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Rehab nursing (Med/Surg) — highest required years of experience applied
• Flexible, collaborative, positive demeanor
• Preferred: Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) credential

Job Description Highlights

• Work in a specialized inpatient rehabilitation hospital focused on patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, multiple trauma, cancer, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions
• Units include brain injury, stroke care, and medically complex patients with specialized equipment and therapy spaces
• Emphasis on improving patients’ functional ability and quality of life through a comprehensive treatment approach addressing physical, emotional, and psychological needs
• Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, therapists, and family members
• Must comply with facility’s influenza vaccination policy or approved exemption with masking requirements during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31)
• Wear black scrubs and agency-provided ID badge

Additional Information

• Nurses float within multiple units in the hospital
• Reporting time: 6:30 PM; report to Charge Nurse upon arrival
• Parking available in garage (upper level or back two rows of lower level)
