Radiation Therapist - Morgantown, West Virginia

Job Details

• Shift: 5x8 hour shifts or 4x10 hour shifts (day/evening), Monday - Friday
• Weekend/Holiday Requirements: None

• Orientation: Department-specific orientation (5 eight-hour shifts or 4 ten-hour shifts)

Certifications & Licenses

• BLS Certification required
• Certified Radiation Therapist - ARRT (T)
• WV state license required

Experience & Skills

• Must have experience with:

  • IMRT (Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy)
  • IGRT (Image-Guided Radiation Therapy)
  • SRS (Stereotactic Radiosurgery)
  • SBRT (Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy)
• Experience with Varian Equipment:

  • Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator
  • Varian ARIA Oncology Information System
• Comfortable managing an average patient load of approximately 25 patients per machine (50 total) plus 6-9 CT simulation patients per day

• Varian Trilogy
• Varian TrueBeam
• Siemens Somatom go.Open

Additional Information

• No floating or coverage of other areas required
• Radiation Oncologists are on-site; no radiologist in-house 24/7
• No IV starts required
• Scrub color: Gray
• Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech present
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required

Notes

• Driver’s license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility
• Previous permanent candidates must have been gone for 2 years before reapplying
• Previous travelers must have been gone for 2 years after 1 full year on assignment
• Only 2 candidates can be submitted per opening at a time across the system
