Job Opportunity: Dietitian (Travel/Contract)
Location: Odessa, Texas
Specialty: Dietary Services
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Requirements
- Experience:
- 2 years of experience preferred in Dietary Services
- 1st time travelers considered (prior travel experience NOT required)
- Licensure:
- Registered Dietitian (RD) license required in Texas
- Systems:
- Experience with Cerner electronic health record system preferred
Certifications & Competencies
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA accepted (Instructor, Provider, RQI)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA accepted (Instructor, Provider, RQI)
- Other certifications may be required as applicable (e.g., PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, EFM, ENPC) – refer to job details for applicability
- Competency exams including Medication/Pharmacology tests may be required
Background & Compliance
- 7-year background check required within 30 days of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
- Facility-specific documents such as Standards of Conduct, Dress Code Policy, and COVID declination may be required
- Orientation and safety training modules must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing
- Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually (N-95 or equivalent required)
- Immunizations/vaccinations required (or positive titers/declinations accepted):
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within 1 year; chest X-ray within 2 years if positive)
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (Oct-April)
Additional Requirements
- Two professional references within 3 years of start
- Resume or employment application required
- Annual updates for skills checklist and some certifications may be required
