Job Opportunity: Dietitian (Travel/Contract)

Location: Odessa, Texas

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Requirements

• Experience:

  • 2 years of experience preferred in Dietary Services
  • 1st time travelers considered (prior travel experience NOT required)
• Licensure:

  • Registered Dietitian (RD) license required in Texas
• Systems:

  • Experience with Cerner electronic health record system preferred

Certifications & Competencies

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA accepted (Instructor, Provider, RQI)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA accepted (Instructor, Provider, RQI)
• Other certifications may be required as applicable (e.g., PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, EFM, ENPC) – refer to job details for applicability
• Competency exams including Medication/Pharmacology tests may be required

Background & Compliance

• 7-year background check required within 30 days of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
• Facility-specific documents such as Standards of Conduct, Dress Code Policy, and COVID declination may be required
• Orientation and safety training modules must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, must be completed within 72 hours of contract signing
• Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually (N-95 or equivalent required)
• Immunizations/vaccinations required (or positive titers/declinations accepted):

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within 1 year; chest X-ray within 2 years if positive)
  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (Oct-April)

Additional Requirements

• Two professional references within 3 years of start
• Resume or employment application required
• Annual updates for skills checklist and some certifications may be required
