Description

Job Opportunity: RN - ICU (Travel)

Location: Smyrna, Tennessee
Unit: ICU
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Details

Number of Beds: 16
Patient Ratios: 2:1
Staffing: Unit tech available; floating in rotation with full-time staff and other travelers
Equipment: GE Monitors, Nova glucometers, Pyxis medication dispenser, Drager ventilators
Documentation System: Meditech
Scheduling: Every other weekend required
Patient Experience Requirements: AIDET communication, use of communication board, medication teaching

Required Certifications & Licenses

Registered Nurse License
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
NIH Certification

Experience Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience in ICU nursing (specialty)
Prior travel experience is NOT explicitly required

Skills & Qualifications

Positive attitude, teamwork, and problem-solving skills required
Advanced skills in ventilator and sedation management, medication titration
Experience with procedures such as tracheostomy placement, bronchoscopy, and cardioversion

Additional Information

Dress Code: Charcoal gray scrubs
Unit is Trauma Level III certified
Floating policy includes rotation with full-time staff and other travelers
